Rajkot: Two people were arrested for murdering a 25-year-old man and grievously injuring his 55-year-old father in Jamnagar’s Nageshwar area last week.
The arrested duo, Hitesh alias Tako Donasiya (30) and Ajay Donasiya (24), had attacked Sanjay Dhapa and his father Mansukh (55) with iron pipes over some personal animosity. Sanjay died during treatment.
On Thursday, they were produced in the court which sent them to police custody for four days.
Mansukh registered a complaint against the duo with the B-division police station. A month ago, the accused developed a dispute with Sanjay’s cousin Gautam and the former took his side. He also struck a truce between them. However, the duo harboured a grudge against Sanjay for interfering in their personal matters. On August 27, they barged into his house and started thrashing him with pipes. When his father came to his rescue, they bludgeoned him too.
