Two suspects involved in firing outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment stayed in rented home in Navi Mumbai for a month: Report | – Times of India

The two individuals on motorcycles, who purportedly fired shots outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, reportedly had rented a house in Navi Mumbai’s Panvel, where Khan owns a farmhouse, for a month, as per an official statement on Monday.
Throughout the day, the police interrogated three individuals from Navi Mumbai, including the house owner, the previous owner of the two-wheeler involved in the incident, the agent who facilitated the sale, and several others, as part of the investigation into the shooting incident that took place on Sunday, stated the official.
The owner of the vehicle, found abandoned near Mount Mary Church, just over a kilometer from the actor’s residence, had recently sold it to another individual, the official disclosed.At approximately 5 am, two unidentified men discharged four rounds outside Bandra’s Galaxy Apartments, where the actor resides, before fleeing the scene.
Investigations uncovered that the abandoned two-wheeler was registered under the name of an individual residing in Panvel. Subsequently, a team from the crime branch visited the area and brought in three individuals for questioning, as stated by the official.
As part of their investigation, the police questioned the former owner of the vehicle, the agent who facilitated its sale, and the owner of the house rented by the suspects in the Harigram area of Panvel in March, according to the official.

The police have assembled over a dozen teams to investigate the incident, with some dispatched to Bihar, Rajasthan, and Delhi, the official confirmed.
“So far, we have not arrested or detained anybody in the case, but our inquiry is going on with several people,” he said. According to officials, the suspects abandoned the vehicle near Mount Mary Church, walked some distance and took an autorickshaw to Bandra railway station.
They boarded a train heading towards Borivali but disembarked at Santacruz railway station and exited, according to reports.

The police are questioning several other individuals and recording their statements, the official stated. Additionally, he mentioned that CCTV footage from the area is being scrutinized as part of the investigation.
The police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for attempted murder and also under the Arms Act.
