A 19-year-old man was killed and the person traveling in it was injured when a two-wheeler collided with a van on GST Road near Pallavaram on Wednesday morning. The Mount Traffic Investigation Wing has registered a case and arrested the driver of the van.
Police said R.K., a resident of Royapettah. Easwar along with his friend Kesavan was going from Pallavaram to Guindy on a two-wheeler when the vehicle hit a van near Pallavaram Junction. In the collision, the bike rider and the person sitting behind fell from the vehicle. Eshwar died of severe head injuries on his way to Chromepet Government Hospital. Police said that Kesavan is undergoing treatment.
