UP CM Yogi Adityanath starts Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan 2023 | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Vriksharopan Jan Abhiyan 2023 from Bijnor planting saplings on saturdayKalpavriksha‘ On the banks of the Ganges.

Inaugurating the statewide tree plantation drive, the CM distributed saplings to school children and called upon each and every individual to plant saplings in a big way to save the environment.
before he laid the foundation stone Government Sanskrit Inter College at Vidur Kuti.

He also inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs 445 crore.
He said that Bijnor has thousands of years old history.
“This is the sacred meditation place of Mahatma Vidura, where Ganga’s son Bhishma also spent his childhood. This is the land where Lord Krishna preferred to eat ‘sarson ka saag’ (a leafy vegetable) at Mahatma Vidur’s house than Duryodhana’s ‘Malpua’, as Mahatma Vidur is the epitome of righteousness and public welfare.
Congratulating the people of Uttar Pradesh for the Tree Plantation Mass Campaign 2023, Yogi said, “With the planting of 30 crore saplings under the state’s massive tree plantation drive, UP is setting a new record today.”
Describing Bijnor as the land of India’s history, the CM said, ‘It is a matter of pride for me that I have got the opportunity to take forward the plantation drive of 2023 from this holy place.’
State Government Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Forest Minister Arun Kumar Saxena, ACS Forest Manoj Singh, Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Mamta Sanjeev Dubey were also present on the occasion.
