UP Man bites off shopkeeper’s finger over Rs 50 dispute in Banda, case filed | Kanpur News – Times of India

BANDA/KANPUR: In a shocking incident, a man in Uttar Pradesh‘s Banda district bit off the fingers of a shopkeeper after a dispute over Rs 50.
The incident took place when a customer visited Shiv Chandra Karwaria’s garment shop and purchased a frock. The next day, the man returned to the shop and told Karwaria that the frock he purchased was small and said he wanted a bigger size.
Karwaria offered to provide a larger frock but requested an additional payment of Rs 50.This led to a heated argument between the two, with the customer refusing to pay the extra amount. The situation escalated when the man suddenly bit off a finger from Karwaria’s left hand and even injured his son by biting him as well.
The accused then threw the shopkeeper’s clothes onto the road before fleeing the scene. Karwaria, who was injured, reached a nearby police station to file a complaint.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Kotwali Naraini, Suresh Saini said that a case had been registered based on the shopkeeper’s complaint.
Station House Officer Suresh Saini confirmed the ongoing search for the culprit, assuring that legal action would be taken upon his arrest.
