United President Joe Biden recently announced the appointment of Indian-American business leader and Founder and Chair of Mastercard’s Center for Inclusive Growth Shamina Singh as a member of the President’s Special Council.

According to a White House statement, Singh currently serves as Executive Vice President of Sustainability at Mastercard and is a member of the company’s Management Committee. She has also held senior positions in the White House and the US House of Representatives.

Prior to this, Singh was appointed as the Executive Director of the first Presidential Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. He was later appointed by former President Barack Obama to a six-year term on the board of AmeriCorps, where he served as chairman for two years.

The White House statement said that in addition to serving as EVP of Sustainability at MasterCard, Singh also co-chairs the Ad Council of America’s Advisory Committee on Public Issues and serves on the board of the Anti-Defamation League. Are.

It advises the President about government policies and programs that affect US business performance; promotes export expansion; and provides a forum for discussion and resolution of trade related problems between the business, industrial, agricultural, labor and government sectors.
