A teenager living in the US has claimed that his vaping addiction left him with a quadruple lung failure and made him look older. new york post, Doctors inform Draven Hatfield that it appears he has smoked three packs a day for more than 30 years.

Mr Hatfield claimed he started vaping at the age of 13 because he thought it was a “neat trend” and eventually started using disposable vape pens two or three times a week. As reported by the Post, the teenager was diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax, also known as a collapsed lung, which occurs when air becomes trapped between the lung and the chest wall.

Mr Hatfield admitted he did not make the connection between his collapsed lung and his vaping habit when he returned to work as a construction contractor. However, after suffering through an excruciating week of being attached to a chest tube, he suffered a similar problem the following week. After his lungs collapsed for the third time, Kishore consulted a specialist and decided to stop vaping. However, Mr Hatfield’s lung collapsed for a fourth time, necessitating “rib wall rejoining” surgery.

Despite making a full recovery from his surgery, Kishore admits that it still has an effect on him. He said that he often had lower back pain and discomfort in the area of ​​the chest where his lung had collapsed.

According to the outlet, Mr Hatfield said nicotine gum helped him wean off vaping and that he has quit the habit permanently. He is now raising awareness of the risks associated with vaping.
