US woman dies in car crash hours after husband's funeral

A woman in the United States was killed in a car crash five hours after burying her husband and saying their final goodbyes. CBS, Sarah Novak, 42, died in an accident on 1 April, while her husband Louis died of cancer on 19 March.

Her mother, Patricia Cartwright, told the outlet, “I don’t think she can live without him. So, she’s with him.” Her father, Randall Cartwright, said, “It’s really hard because you finish work and then five and a half hours later, you get a call saying your daughter had an accident.”

according to ABC affiliate WowDeputies arrived at the scene of a single-vehicle collision on State Highway 106 near Calkins Road in Palmyra just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday. According to Jefferson County Sheriff Paul Milbrath, the investigation revealed that the driver lost control of the car, which then flipped into a ditch. Both the victims died on the spot, although a passenger was pulled out of the car.

They decided to get married in 2017 – six kids and two prior marriages later. According to her mother, they were both “a true match”.

Ms Novak had no friends, everyone was her family, her loved ones wrote tributes to her. “He never had a full house because he always had room for more,” the obituary added. The message said she loved going on trips with Louis and the kids to make lifelong memories.

Meanwhile, people remember Louis as someone who “enjoyed spending time with family and friends, tinkering over engines and motors, going to swap meets, camping, classic cars and classic rock music. ” His obituary read, “Louis will always be there to help, or to have a great conversation.”
