The actor in an exclusive conversation with ETimes, shared his experience of doing a film in two languages. He mentioned that he surprised his director when he informed him that he would begin with Hindi. He said, “ It’s not that I don’t understand the language, I have friends who speak in Hindi. But I’m not very fluent with the language.”
“My director (Shakti Pratap Singh) is not very fluent in Telugu, he’s from Kota, so I thought it was very important for him to understand what is happening on the set, so we began with Hindi,” he added.
The actor, who has been part of the movies for about 9 years now, also mentioned that it is not an easy task to shoot in two languages. He says, “It is not easy to shoot in 2 languages, even if we have dialogues which have the same meaning, as the length is not the same and one needs to know which words to stress on, etc. I had a bit of trouble when we were doing the two languages …especially in Hindi. I would mug up my Hindi lines, and not sleep the previous nights and I would tell my director I’m ready to go with Hindi, and he would be surprised as he thought I would begin with Telugu. And I would say my Hindi lines, and then I would forget my Telugu lines, it was very funny as everyone thought that the reverse would happen.”
