PRAYAGRAJ: Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Tuesday invited former deputy prime minister LK Advani and Union minister Murli Manohar Joshi for the grand consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya next month.
This comes amid the temple trust has requested the two Bharatiya Janata Partystalwarts, not to attend the consecration event on grounds of age and health.VHP president Alok Kumar said that both the BJP veterans said that they will try their best to attend the January 22 event.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, with an aim to lend support to the Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra, have taken up an extensive campaign to connect people through Namo App. Party aims to connect nine lakh people, around 15,000 people in every mandal, across the district through the app. BJP has a total 60 mandals including 15 in Mahanagar, 25 in trans-Ganga and 20 in trans-Yamuna in Prayagraj district.
Senior party functionaries have already held a training programme to help the party cadre to learn about the Namo App. BJP spokesman Rajesh Kesarwani told TOI, “As the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra will go on till January 26, the party leadership is focussing to mobilise support among residents and tell them about various development schemes and programmes being implemented on the ground by the BJP led governments.
He, however, said, “Namo App is going to play a crucial role in recording various activities being conducted during the special campaign. The objective is to ensure booth-level workers of the party also start using the mobile application along with senior party office bearers as well as elected representatives”. Sharing details about an initiative and a feature of the app, senior BJP leader Yashvikram Tripathi said that case studies of families whose social status has been elevated through the government schemes would be noted down, recorded and showcased during the campaign. The developer of the app has provided a section through, which special events and programmes being conducted on important days would be highlighted separately.
“MP and MLA will be holding 10 and 25 special camps at their respective parliamentary \assembly segments to connect people with the app”, he added. Besides, the party has also made plans to hold large-scale events on December 25 to celebrate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the booth level.
