Visakhapatnam: Reforms in education discussed at International Innovation Creativity Conclave

Union Minister of State for Education Subhash Sarkar virtually inaugurated the two-day I2C2- International Innovation Creativity Conclave at a hotel here on Sunday. In his video message, Shri Sarkar underlined the importance of education and the reforms being implemented by the Union Government in this area. He said that he could not attend the conference due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence at the inauguration of the new Parliament House in Delhi.

World Forum for Education and Indian Engineering, Science and Technology Innovation University, Andhra Pradesh organized the event.

Delivering his keynote address, BJP’s in-charge of foreign affairs Vijay Chauthaiwale highlighted the innovations made by India through two examples: UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and COVID vaccine. He stressed the importance of scaling up local solutions to turn them into global solutions.

University Chancellor Roopa Vasudevan emphasized on the core values ​​embedded in all the teachings and daily practices of the university.

Ashutosh Sharma, President of the Indian National Science Academy, spoke on the importance of separating innovation and invention.

Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities, presented his keynote address on how the inquisitive nature of students should be developed and nurtured by teachers in all educational institutions.

Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad talks about global hunger and the alarming rate at which the world is wasting food. He underlined the importance of reducing chemical fertilizers containing high amounts of urea in global production.

In panel discussions, experts talked about how international collaborations have helped students, faculty, and the college as a whole.
