Vivek Agnihotri sends legal notice to Mamata Banerjee for defaming The Kashmir Files

Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri said on 9 May that he has sent a legal notice to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for defaming his film. The Kashmir Files.

Officials in the Chief Minister’s Office said they were not aware of the legal notice.

Mr Agnihotri said he along with his actor-wife Pallavi Joshi and producer Abhishek Agarwal had sent the legal notice.

He shared a copy of the document in his Twitter post.

“I, along with @AbhishekOfficl and Pallavi Joshi, have sent a legal notice to Chief Minister, Bengal @MamataOfficial for her false and highly defamatory statements intended to defame us and our films #TheKashmirFiles and upcoming 2024 film #TheDelhiFiles Gone.” tweeted the filmmaker.
