Vmc Collects Food Samples After Man Finds Insect In Dosa | Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: Officials of the food safety department of VMC rushed to an eatery in the railway station area in Vadodara on Thursday after a youth alleged that there was an insect in the food served to him there.
The youth who had gone to eat at the eatery on Thursday noticed that there was an insect in the dosa offered to him there. He claimed that this was the second time that an insect was found in his food at the eatery.
After the incident was reported on the social media, food safety officials rushed to the eatery and collected samples of the food.They also issued a notice to the eatery.
The owner of the eatery claimed that the insect was winged and had not been cooked with the dosa. He added that it may have fallen on the dosa. “The visuals clearly show this. We have cooperated with the food safety officials and given samples as per their requirement,” he said.
