Vmc Seizes Flower Vehicles | Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: Seventeen vehicles loaded with flowers were seized by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) which cracked down on the flower market that comes up every morning opposite the civic body’s headquarter in Khanderao Market.
Flower vendors used to set shop every morning in front of the Khanderao Market and other locations around it. Since about a month they were being warned repeatedly to refrain from operating in the area as they obstructed traffic in the area. They were asked to function only from inside the Khanderao Market.
Teams of the encroachment department of the civic body and ward 13 officials cracked down on the vendors early on Tuesday morning. They seized 17 commercial vehicles including mini goods carriers and three-wheel loading rickshaws during the drive. The flowers loaded in them were also seized. The seized material was brought to the Atladara store of the civic body. Officials had to face some resistance from the vendors, but no untoward incident was reported.
