Voters will decide if I’m a patriot: MP in centre of row | Mysuru News – Times of India

MYSURU: MP Pratap Simmha broke his silence on the Lok Sabha intrusion issue on Sunday by saying people will decide if he is a patriot or not. However, he declined to offer answers to any questions.
“Goddess Chamundeshwari and Mother Cauvery, my readers, people of Kodagu and Mysuru who have seen my work, and my stands on issues of national importance will give their judgement through their votes in April 2024.They are the ones who need to give judgement. They decide whether I am a patriot and a nationalist. I leave this to their judgement. I have nothing to tell beyond this,” the Mysuru MP told reporters here. “I have nothing to say beyond this,” he said when asked if he knew about accused D Manoranjan.
Simmha took a dig at CM Siddaramaiah who ridiculed him on Saturday over his claims on building the Bengaluru-Mysuru national highway. “It is a Rs 8,500-crore project. Even if Siddaramaiah government had sanctioned Rs 8, we could call it Siddaramaiah-Mahadevappa double road,” he said. On naming Mysuru airport after Mysuru maharaja Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, he said Siddaramaiah’s loyalty is towards Mysuru ruler Tipu Sultan and not the royal family. TNN
