‘vulgar’ Videos: Scooter Riders Fined ₹47.5k; Fir Registered | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: Police imposed another penalty of Rs 47,500 on three people, including two women, over an objectionable video they had captured while riding a scooter was widely circulated on social media.
Traffic police had earlier imposed a fine of Rs 33,000 on the scooter’s owner after the first video, which was called vulgar by internet users, surfaced on social media on March 25.Traffic cops then took cognizance of another video that featured a girl and a boy riding a scooter without helmets. The scooter’s owner was booked on seven counts of negligence, including provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
“The total penalty imposed is Rs 80,500,” DCP (traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav said. An FIR was also lodged at the Sector 113 station against the three. “The boy was negligently riding the scooter while the girls engaged in obscene acts to make its video…” the FIR said.
