NEW DELHI: Star batsman Jos Buttler showcased his brilliance with an unbeaten century, propelling Rajasthan Royals to a thrilling two-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday.
After Sunil Narine’s explosive 109 helped KKR set a formidable target of 223/6, Buttler’s remarkable innings of 107 not out off 60 balls led Rajasthan Royals to victory, sealing the win off the final ball.

Buttler, who came as an impact substitute, displayed resilience as wickets tumbled around him, steering Rajasthan Royals towards the target with a calculated approach before launching a fierce counterattack in the last five overs.

His onslaught included six sixes and nine boundaries, culminating in a spectacular century in the final over.

With a six over long-on off the first ball and smart running between the wickets, Buttler hit the win with a boundary off the last ball, igniting celebrations in the Rajasthan camp.

Following Buttler’s match-winning performance, the Bollywood superstar and co-owner of KKR Shah Rukh Khan walked to the center of the iconic Eden Gardens. He congratulated and hugged Buttler, acknowledging the Englishman’s remarkable feat that sealed a memorable victory for Rajasthan Royals.
