Recently, she revealed her favourite song in an interview, the video of which has now gone viral. Sudha Murthy was asked about her favourite song. In an immediate response, she replied, “Idedo Bagundi from Mirchi.” The delightful video also shows her vibing to the song and saying that she loves this song. Notably, Idedo Bagundi is a Telugu song featuring Prabhas and Anushka Shetty.

Composed by Devi Sri Prasad and penned by Ramajogayya Sastry, the song is from the film Mirchi, which was released in 2013. The film was directed by Koratala Siva. Last month, Sudha Murthy was caught up in a controversy for discussing her food preference. During an appearance on a culinary show named Khaane Mein Kya Hai, she revealed, “I am a pure vegetarian. (I don’t eat) Not even egg, garlic,” she said, further adding that “I am scared that both vegetarians and non-vegetarians use the same spoon. It is in my head. Whenever I go out, I look for vegetarian restaurants or I always carry one bag full of eating materials.”

This sparked debate on social media with many criticising the philanthropist for disrespecting others with different food choices. Some of them also believed that it was a ‘casteist’ statement whereas others advised her to stay away from her son-in-law Rishi Sunak, the President of the UK, as he is also a non-vegetarian.
