Watch: The groom made a James Bond-style entrance by skydiving into his wedding

An army veteran who lost a leg while serving in Afghanistan made a spectacular wedding entrance on Sunday by parachuting into the grounds of a 14th-century palace accompanied by nine groomsmen. BBC, Chris Parkes, 34, from County Durham, went skydiving at Langley Castle in Hexham for his special day before exchanging vows with his bride, Pippa. Pullett further said that Mr Parkes and his nine groomsmen required six months of training for this daring jump, and admitted that it was “infinitely more stressful” than the wedding itself.

The video of Mr. Parks’ jump is going viral on social media.

Despite the grand entrance, Mr Parks’ new wife, who also shares his passion for skydiving, humorously said she still hasn’t managed to steal the spotlight from him. She playfully remarked, “Chris is allowed to have some fancy things during the day. I get to wear a big, fancy dress. He gets to have a fancy skydive.”

The extraordinary jump set a new record for the largest wedding party skydive ever undertaken anywhere in the world, according to chronicle live, All 10 jumpers dressed in black tuxedos and executed the skydive independently, opting not to go together. They later changed into lehengas for the ceremony held at the woodland wedding area.

Two hundred guests, some of whom came from as far away as America, witnessed the magnificent wedding celebration. Mr. Parks acquired his skydiving skills while serving in the military, and years later, he completed an accelerated freefall course, earning licenses in a variety of disciplines.

According to the outlet, he proposed to Pippa at a black-tie Christmas dinner held at Langley Castle, feeling it was the perfect wedding venue for them.

To make their vision a reality, Chris and his team collaborated with the sport’s governing body, British Skydiving, and went through months of careful preparation and training. On the day of the wedding, they went sky-high skydiving at their local drop zone, Shotton, County Durham, and landed gracefully in the grounds near the entrance to the palace.
