WhatsApp may soon get a new Switch UI for Android users – Times of India

WhatsApp Recently, Companion Mode has been rolled out for iPhone users. The Meta-owned platform is now reportedly working on a new Switch UI Android the user.
WhatsApp keeps working on projects to improve the app by tweaking the user interface following the principles of Material 3 Design. They started with the bottom navigation bar available to some beta testers. Now WABetaInfo has revealed that the popular messaging app is working on redesigning the App Switch.
WABetaInfo has shared a new screenshot that clearly shows the Switch UI redesign in WhatsApp that will bring a new and modern aesthetic to the app. The latest switch style integrates seamlessly into the overall interface, showcasing an enhanced design that harmonizes with the visual language of Material Design 3. The Intuitive Switch toggle provides users with a straightforward way to seamlessly switch between options, requiring just a simple tap. Its user-friendly design ensures a smooth and intuitive experience for all users.
The report noted, “The Switch’s redesign conforms to the Material Design 3 guidelines, reflecting their commitment to providing an improved visual experience and enhanced functionality.”
WhatsApp is testing a new feature for Business
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has started testing a new feature called Status Archive whatsapp business Application. Like other testing features, the Status Archive feature is also being rolled out in beta and is currently available with a select group of WhatsApp Business Android beta testers. Reports suggest that Meta may expand the feature to more beta users in the coming weeks.
With this new feature, users will be notified by a banner available along with the Status tab. Enabling this feature ensures that status updates will be automatically stored on the device after 24 hours of posting. Users will have the facility to customize their archive preferences and easily view all archived statuses directly in the Status tab. This streamlined approach gives users easy access to their past updates while maintaining control over their collection management.
