Babil Khan remembered his father Irrfan Khan at the IIFA 2023 Awards.

Babil Khan makes for one of the most awaited debuts of 2022. She made her acting debut last year with director and lyricist Anvita Dutt’s psychological drama Qala and won heaps of accolades and accolades for her stellar performance as a musical. Orphan gift named Jagan. The actor attended IIFA 2023 in Abu Dhabi with his mother Sutapa Sikdar. When asked if he would like to recreate any of Irrfan Khan’s performances, Babil had an interesting answer.
Recalling some memories of his father, Babil told the media, ‘I remember him (Irrfan Khan) every day of my life. I didn’t have many friends when I was growing up and he was my only friend. Laughing with him is my fondest memory with Baba.”
When questioned about reprising any of his father’s roles, Babil quickly replied, “No.”
Earlier this year, Babil Khan remembered Irrfan Khan on his birth anniversary by sharing unseen pictures from his childhood. Irrfan passed away in April 2020 after battling colon infection. The actor’s death left a huge void in the industry, with fans missing the actor from time to time. Babil had also shared pictures of Irrfan on several occasions in the last three years.
On the late actor’s birth anniversary, Babil shared pictures from the time Irrfan became a father on Instagram. In these pictures, the actor was seen sharing happy moments with Babil. Sharing the pictures, Babil confessed that he misses Irrfan.
“The questions keep me up at night. What I never asked then, what I can never ask now. My query is left for me to extinguish myself, that’s fine, I’ll figure it out. Although I miss your laugh, I don’t think there is an answer. Remembering the day you arrived here,” wrote the Kala actor.
On the work front, he will next be seen in Yash Raj Films’ upcoming web series, The Railway Men. Starring R Madhavan, KK Menon and Divyendu, it is presented at Bhopal station as a tribute to railway workers, the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. Reportedly, Babil has also started shooting for another web show titled Friday Night Plan, which is being backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
