After almost two decades, ‘Murder‘ actors Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi reunited at producer Anand Pandit‘s daughter Aish’s wedding reception.
Emraan and Mallika appeared to have reconciled, sharing a hug and posing together at the event, signaling a resolution to any past differences. Not many know that Emraan once dissed Mallika on Koffee with Karan.

During his appearance on Karan Johar‘s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ in 2014, Emraan mentioned that his kiss with Mallika Sherawat in ‘Murder’ was his worst on-screen kiss. However, he praised his kissing scenes with Jacqueline Fernandez in ‘Murder 2’ as some of his best.

Despite the success of ‘Murder’ upon its release 20 years ago, Emraan and Mallika reportedly had a strained relationship during filming. Mallika recounted a disagreement with Emraan on set during a 2021 interview, revealing that they didn’t speak to each other thereafter.

During an episode of The Love Laugh Live Show, host Mandira Bedi questioned Mallika about her conflicts with co-stars. Mallika revealed that her most amusing disagreement was with Emraan Hashmi during or after the filming of ‘Murder.’ Reflecting on their rift, she admitted it was childish and uncalled for, expressing regret for their lack of communication. She also mentioned that they have lost touch since then.
The first installment of the film franchise, directed by Anurag Basu, starred Emraan Hashmi, Mallika Sherawat, and Ashmit Patel. The storyline revolved around a woman discontented with her marriage to a workaholic husband. Seeking solace, she embarked on an extramarital affair, only to be overwhelmed by guilt. Despite her departure, her lover was resolute in his pursuit to reclaim her affection, regardless of the consequences.
