According to initial reports by CNN-News18, the incident took place around 4:55 am, when two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire three shots into the air. Heavy police deployment is currently seen outside the superstar’s residence, Galaxy Apartments. The Mumbai Police have kickstarted investigations to catch the culprits.
Salman Khan has been threatened by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang multiple times lately. As a result, Mumbai Police have provided him with Y+ category security.During his appearance on Aap, Salman had talked about the situation, saying that having security is better than feeling insecure. He had also mentioned how these threats make it difficult for him to do simple things like riding a bicycle on the road.
Salman further explained that whatever is destined to happen will happen but added that this does not mean he can roam around freely. “I am going everywhere with full security. I know whatever is going to happen will happen no matter what you do. I believe that (points towards god) that he is there. It is not that I will start roaming freely, it is not like that. Now there are so many Shera’s around me, so many guns are going around with me that I am myself scared these days,” he said.
Salman Khan has been targeted by Lawrence Bishnoi for a while now. In April 2023, he got a threatening phone call from someone named ‘Roki Bhai’ from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, who said they would kill him on April 30. However, it turned out that the call was made by a 16-year-old from Shahpur, Rajasthan, who was arrested later. Salman also received another death threat via email, which also mentioned Rakhi Sawant. Mumbai Police had filed an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, along with another individual, following the email threatening Salman.
