Amravati MP Navneet Rana on Saturday took a dig at former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, a day after the Election Commission allotted the name ‘Shiv Sena’ and its election symbol ‘bow and arrow’ to Eknath Shinde’s faction.

“…They say ‘Jo Ram ka nahi jo Hanuman ka nahi, wo kisi kaam ka nahi aur Dhanush-Baan unka nahi.’ Uddhav Thackeray has got prasad of Lord Shiva,” said Amravati MP Navnit Rana.

The Election Commission on Friday ordered that the name “Shiv Sena” and the symbol “bow and arrow” be retained by the Shinde faction.

However, after losing the case, Uddhav Thackeray alleged that the Election Commission has become a slave of the Centre.

Reacting to the Election Commission’s decision, he said, “Let the thieves be happy for a few days.”

PTI quoted Thackeray as saying, “The party and the people are with me. Whatever the Election Commission asked for, we submitted all papers regarding membership and organizational strength and yet the Election Commission ruled against us.”

Thackeray said, “The Shinde group may have stolen the symbol of the bow and arrow on paper, but the bow and arrow that Balasaheb Thackeray used to worship, I have the original bow and arrow.”

“Shiv Sena will rise again and will not die,” he said.
