Wholesale Inflation Logs 3-month High | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Wholesale price inflation jumped to a three-month high in March, led by higher food prices, and remained in the positive territory for the fifth month in a row. The surge in potato and onion prices posed a worry.
Data released by the commerce and industry ministry on Monday showed inflation, as measured by the wholesale price index, rose an annual 0.5% compared to a 0.2% increase in the previous month.In March last year, the inflation rate was 1.4%.
Experts said geopolitical tensions could have an impact on commodity prices which needs to be watched.
