Will deal with women’s security with iron fist: CM | Jaipur News – Times of India

JAIPUR: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, in his first press conference at the CMO on Friday evening, said that his government has decided to form a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the paper leak cases that occurred in the last five years. Sharma assured the people that the government will fulfil all promises made in the manifesto.
“Paper leaks have shaken the youth’s confidence in the institutions conducting the examinations. The government is committed to giving strict punishment to the criminals and assuring that no paper leak will happen in the future,” said Sharma.
Expressing his concern over the safety of women, he said women’s security has been a big issue in the state in the last few years, and his government will deal with an iron fist. “The anti-social and criminal elements will be identified, and strict action taken against them. Our government is already working on stricter security arrangements for women,” said the CM.
Slamming the former Congress government for helping the gangs and gangsters flourish in the past five years, the CM clarified that his government would form a special task force (Anti-Gangster Task Force) under the leadership of an ADGP-level officer. “Rajasthan will be free from gangs and gangsters. Common people will no longer have to live under the shadow of terror. Our government will work at all levels to eradicate organised crime and re-establish peace and good governance in the state,” said Sharma.
He asserted that under the Union government’s Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), the state government will work to empower all eligible persons connecting them with the ongoing welfare schemes. “Under VBSY, the people of the state who are deprived of the benefits of Union government schemes will benefit. I will ensure that we reach out to the last man standing,” concluded Bhajan Lal Sharma.
