Wipro and Nokia Partner to Offer 5G Private Wireless Solutions | – Times of India

Indian IT giant Wipro recently announced that it has joined forces with Finnish telecom company Nokia to offer private wireless solutions for enterprises. In a statement, the company said that this solution will enable enterprises to have a unified private environment that they can manage to improve their performance and reduce security threats.
The statement also said that the joint private wireless solution from Wipro and Nokia will “facilitate the digital transformation of enterprises”.The solution will integrate a more secure 5G private wireless network with the operation infrastructure of enterprises, it added.
“The solution will offer higher reliability, mobility, connectivity speed, real-time access to business insights, and low-latency processing of large amounts of data,” the statement continued.
The solution, powered by AI, are claimed to be the first to be available to customers in the industries of manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and sports entertainment.
AI-powered solutions
Nokia will supply the Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) and Modular Private Wireless (MPW) solutions, while Wipro will provide strategic advice and industry knowledge with its Def-i Innovation Center.
“Through this partnership, we will enable businesses in various sectors to enjoy improved connectivity and AI-driven operational efficiencies, leading them to the front of innovation,” said Stephan Litjens, Vice President of Enterprise Campus Edge Solutions at Nokia.
Jo Debecker, Global Head of Wipro FullStride Cloud, said that the partnership will help enterprises use wireless private networks to digitise quickly and access real-time insights to achieve their goals.
