With PM Modi on stage, Ashok Gehlot said, ‘Opposition should be respected’

Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said opposition should be respected in a democracy and added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also “move in this direction”.

“If this is done, the ruling party and the opposition will be able to serve the country with more enthusiasm,” he said at the launch of various projects in the presence of Modi.

Gehlot said, “Opposition should be respected. I think you (prime minister) will also move in this direction.”

The Rajasthan chief minister also said that former prime ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the country.

He said that if we all work together, the country will remain united.

Some people don’t want to see anything good happen in the country: PM Modi

In an indirect attack on the opposition parties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that some people are so full of negativity that they do not want to see anything good happen in the country.

At an event in Nathdwara in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district, where he launched various projects worth over Rs 5,500 crore, the Prime Minister also said that those who measure everything by votes, keep the country in mind. Unable to make plans.

Without naming anyone, the Prime Minister said, ‘Some people in the country have become victims of such a perverted mindset, they are so much negativity that they do not want to see anything good happen in the country.’

“They only like to create controversies. History is witness that for sustainable development and rapid growth, it is necessary to create modern infrastructure along with infrastructure,” he said.

The Prime Minister also said that earlier due to this thinking, infrastructure development was not given priority.

“Had sufficient number of medical colleges been built earlier, there would have been no dearth of doctors,” he said.

From the temple, the Prime Minister reached the place from where he is to launch development projects worth over Rs 5,500 crore in Rajasthan.
