Woman killed in Ukrainian shelling in Russian border village – Times of India

NEW DELHI: A woman was killed and her husband was injured in a fire that followed shelling in the settlement of Kulbaki in Russia’s Kursk Region, region’s Governor Roman Starovoit wrote on his Telegram channel.
“A residential house directly hit by a bomb took fire, killing a local woman. Her husband suffered major burns,” he said.
Another household was hit, the governor added. There is partially no light in the settlement. Firefighting teams have responded to the site.
Meanwhile, Ukraine accused that Russia launched a strike on the east Ukrainian town of Myrnograd in the embattled Donetsk region wounded at least nine people. “Russians shelled Myrnograd with three S-300 missiles: at least 9 people were wounded, including 1 teenager,” the head of the Donetsk region, Vadym Filashkin, said on social media.
He added that “nine high-rise buildings” were damaged.
Ukraine also claimed that they had downed 35 out of 39 Iranian-made Shahed drones fired by Russia across the country overnight.
“As a result of combat operations, 35 ‘Shaheds’ were shot down” over 10 regions across central and southern Ukraine, the air force said on Sunday on social media.
