Former IPS who threatened to shoot deleted tweets
Former IPS officer NC Asthana has come under fire for using the language of ‘goli maar denge’ for wrestlers who have been accused of sexual harassment. Not only did he get a reply from wrestler Bajrang Punia, who was protesting at Jantar Mantar, the police fraternity also lashed out. NC Asthana’s controversial tweet is no longer visible amid strong criticism from all sides. He has deleted the tweet.

In fact, on Sunday, May 28, the Delhi Police detained wrestlers protesting against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at Jantar Mantar. A case was registered against him. During that time wrestler Bajrang Punia had said- ‘Shoot us’.

Responding to this, former IPS officer NC Asthana had tweeted, If necessary, we will shoot. But not because of your saying. Right now he has just been dragged and thrown away like a sack of garbage. Under Article 129, the police have the right to shoot. Under proper circumstances, that wish will also be fulfilled. But to know that it is necessary to be educated, then see you on the postmortem table!”

‘This officer is talking about shooting us. Brother is standing in front, tell me where to come to get shot. I swear that I will not show my back, I will eat your bullet on my chest. Now this is the only thing left to do with us, so that too is right.

Indian Police Foundation also lashed out
NC Asthana’s tweet also angered the Indian Police Foundation. Responding on Twitter, he wrote, ‘Such a threatening tweet from a retired police officer is disturbing. This type of behavior is unacceptable. It tarnishes the image and reputation of the entire police force.

No entry for wrestlers at Jantar Mantar
Now there will be no place for wrestlers to protest at Jantar Mantar. The Delhi Police said that on Sunday they had broken the law by trying to walk towards the new Parliament building.
