The Thudiyalur police on Tuesday arrested a youth for possession of six grams of methamphetamine.
Acting on information, a special team seized narcotics worth Rs 16,000 and arrested Akil (26), a native of Kerala. In another action taken across the district on Tuesday, the police arrested four people and recovered 1.3 kg of ganja from them.
Since the beginning of the year till now, the district police have named 207 people in 510 cases and seized 433.131 kg of ganja and ganja chocolate from them. Also, five persons involved in high-grade drug trafficking were arrested in three cases.
