AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Thursday announced its action plan for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GujCET), which will be held from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
According to data from the board, 1.37 lakh candidates have registered for the test this year.
Board data shows that 1,19,494 candidates are from the Gujarat board.This year, 86,366 students opted for Group B, 51,025 for Group A and 408 for AB.
The data showed that 15,558 registered candidates are from the CBSE, 18,305 are from other state boards and 12 are foreign students.
Registrations for GujCET opened on Jan 2 and closed on Jan 31. GujCET is the state’s common entrance test for admission to degree and diploma courses in engineering and pharmacy after Class 12. Class 12 science students opting for A, B or AB groups can take the test.
The number of registered candidates from Ahmedabad city is 12,151 and from Ahmedabad rural is 18,401. The test will be conducted at 62 locations in Ahmedabad city and at 30 in rural Ahmedabad. Students must furnish a printout of their hall ticket and proof of identity to take the exam.
