Denpasar police in Indonesia have arrested two Punjabis for the murder of a man and assault on another Indian national. Both were caught at Ngurah Rai International Airport. He was coming to India. On the other hand, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to intervene, describing both the youths as innocent.

Both the arrested youths have been identified as Gurmej Singh (21), a resident of village Gaggomahal in Ajnala, Amritsar, and Ajaypal Singh (21), a resident of village Mode. Indonesian police say that the duo killed a 39-year-old Indonesian national at Tukad Bilok, Sannur Kauah, who had a wedding at his home. Both the accused were staying at his house since May 10.
On Saturday, people around found a 40-year-old Indian citizen covered in blood in front of the house. When people went inside the house, the dead body of the deceased was lying. The residents informed the authorities about the incident. Police caught the suspects several hours later at the international airport.

Imprisonment can be up to 15 years
Indonesian police chief Bambang Yugo Pamungkas says the motive for the incident is still being investigated. Preliminary investigation found that it happened when they were gambling and started making fun of each other. If convicted, he could face a maximum of 15 years in prison.

Both were kidnapped for 5 days
On the other hand, Manjinder Singh Sirsa has told the fraud agent behind this incident. Sirsa appealed to the MHA to intervene in the matter and investigate and get both the youths released. Manjinder Singh Sirsa says that he was cheated by an agent who is a criminal and whose family already has cases of such frauds registered against them.
Both the arrested Punjabi youths were abducted for 5 days. Was badly beaten in Jakarta. When they escaped from the clutches of both the accused, the Indonesian police arrested them on charges of murder. He was not involved in any such incident as he was running for his life.
