The list of other ministers has not been finalized yet. But it is expected that Dr. Parameshwara, MB Patil, NK Patil, Lakshmi Nebalkar and RV Deshpande will take oath as ministers.

The oath ceremony will take place today at 12.30 pm at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states are not invited
The leaders invited by the Karnataka Congress for the swearing-in ceremony do not include the chief minister of the BJP-ruled state and leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Invitations have been sent to Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for the ceremony. Apart from these, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin have also been called.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah has also been invited.

DK agreed after five days of negotiation
In the counting of votes held last Saturday, Congress got 135 out of 224 seats in Karnataka, BJP 66, JD(S) 19 and others 4. After getting the majority, the supporters of Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar wanted to make him the Chief Minister. But, the choice of the Congress was Siddaramaiah.

After five days of persuasion and Sonia Gandhi’s intervention, DK Shivakumar, adamant for the post of Karnataka CM, finally agreed. It was decided that Siddaramaiah will be the CM and DK will be the Deputy CM of Karnataka. Siddaramaiah was also elected as the leader of the Legislature Party in the Legislature Party meeting held in Bengaluru on Thursday night.

DK will become the CM after the Lok Sabha elections.
Shivakumar has agreed to the 50-50 formula. Siddaramaiah will be the CM for the first two and a half years and DK for the next two and a half years. Means DK will become the Chief Minister in 2025 after the Lok Sabha elections. However, who will be the Congress state president of Karnataka then, its name is yet to be decided.

DK was not ready to accept earlier
Earlier on Wednesday, there were reports that DK has agreed with the Deputy CM, Karnataka Pradesh Congress President and two ministries. The high command wants to make Siddaramaiah the CM and they had put three formulas in front of DK. Then came the news that he did not agree on anything. DK clearly told Kharge that if you want to make him, then make him CM, he will not become deputy CM.

The script of the Karnataka government being written in Delhi since morning kept changing hour by hour. DK told the high command- ‘He can win 20 to 22 seats in the Lok Sabha.’

DK-Siddha had a meeting with Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in the morning, but could not reach a consensus. The ongoing preparations for the swearing-in in Bengaluru were stopped. Earlier, DK had said that if Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is made the Chief Minister, then he is ready to work under his leadership.
