25th convocation ceremony held on Bharati Vidyapeeth campus – Times of India

Pune: The 25th convocation ceremony of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University was held on its campus in the city on Wednesday.

As many as 5,858 graduates were awarded degrees and 56 received PhD degrees. Gold medals and certificates were given to students who secured the highest marks in postgraduate and graduate exams under each faculty.

In attendance, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais lauded that a higher number gold medals went to female students. He told the gathering, “India’s youth power today is its greatest strength. Representatives of countries like Japan and Germany all have the same concern — their lack of youth power. India Our highly educated youth force should participate in the nation’s transformation. Other countries are willing to sign MoUs so that we can set up IITs there.” TNN
