NCP warns Sena over Shivtare comments | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: NCP Thane has once again objected to the continued tirade by Shiv Sena leader Vijay Shivtare against Ajit Pawar over the Baramati Lok Sabha seat and questioned if chief minister Eknath Shinde was able to wield control over his supporters.
It may be noted that this stern observation by Anand Paranjape, NCP spokesperson comes a day after several Shiv Sena MPs met Shinde requesting him to ensure a stop to squabbling between leaders of ally parties over seat sharing process for Lok Sabha polls. The NCP had also appealed Shinde to rein in Shivtare recently.
“Shivtare seems to be consistently touring Baramati area and passing comments about the Pawar family which could possibly impact the amiable relation within the alliance. Our leaders had approached Shinde requesting him to rein in his leaders and despite his intervention, there seems to be no results. This apparently is sending a message that Shinde is unable to control his party colleagues and they don’t listen to him,” said Paranjaape through a video statement.
The NCP Thane leaders also iterated his warning of causing damage to the Shiv Sena prospects in the seats where they are contesting of Shivtare continues with his tirade. “BJP’s Chandrakant Patil is also camping in Baramati and we also don’t want to create or talk anything that will disturb the alliance but if the Sena leaders don’t stop their actions, we will also break all protocol wherever Sena leaders are contesting. Our focus is on winning maximum seats in the state,” the party added.
Speaking about the BJP leaders pushing their top brass to get the Kalyan seat, Paranjape said it was obvious for workers to get their party to contest the seat. “The BJP top brass and our leaders will meet over the issue soon and finalise the seat sharing formula,” he said.
