According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 hit Bihar’s Araria district in the early hours of Wednesday. The tremors were felt at 5.35 am. So far there is no news of any damage due to the earthquake.

The epicenter was 66 km near Purnea, at a shallow depth of 10 km.

“An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 hit Bihar’s Araria at around 5.35 am. The depth of the earthquake is 10 km,” NCS said in a tweet.

This comes after a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck western Nepal on Tuesday. The epicenter of the earthquake occurred at 6:50 pm local time in Baluva area of ​​Gorkha district, 140 km west of Kathmandu, according to the National Center for Seismology, Kathmandu.

The 4.1-magnitude quake was also felt in neighboring Lamjung and Tanhu districts, according to officials.

However, there was no immediate report of any damage or casualties in the incident.
