The 8th meeting of NITI Aayog is going to be held in New Delhi today. PM Narendra Modi will chair the 8th meeting of the Governing Council. In this meeting, the focus will be on issues like health, skill development, women empowerment. CMs and lieutenant governors of all states and union territories have been called in the meeting.

The Chief Ministers of four states have refused to attend the meeting. These include Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will also not attend the meeting.

Reason for Kejriwal’s opposition
In fact, the Supreme Court had ordered on May 11 that the transfer-posting rights of officers in Delhi will remain with the Delhi government. After this, the central government brought an ordinance on 20 May and gave these powers to the lieutenant governor. Kejriwal is opposing this ordinance.

He wrote – The whole country is opposing the ordinance of the Center. People are asking that if the Prime Minister does not accept even the Supreme Court, then where will we go for justice. There is no point in attending the meeting when the Constitution is being mocked openly.

Kejriwal wrote in the letter that in the last few years, non-BJP governments were being toppled or were not allowed to work. This is not the vision of our country.

Punjab CM also boycotted the meeting

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has also boycotted the NITI Aayog meeting to be held in Delhi on May 27. Mann said that the central government is creating hurdles in many public welfare schemes of Punjab. Whether it is the amount of RDF or reducing crop prices, Punjab is constantly being harmed. Don’t go to this meeting and have your photographs taken. Read full news…
