The matter of the inauguration of the new parliament has reached the Supreme Court. A PIL has been filed demanding the President to inaugurate it. Advocate Jaya Sukin, who filed the petition, said that the Lok Sabha Secretariat had violated the Constitution by not inviting the President to the inauguration. There will be a hearing in this matter today.

At the same time, 20 out of 40 opposition parties of the country will not attend the inauguration ceremony. Opposition parties say that the new parliament should be inaugurated by President Murmu and not by Prime Minister Modi. However, 17 parties have accepted the government’s invitation.

3. Satyendar Jain collapses in Tihar Jail washroom, on oxygen support at LNJP Hospital

Former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain slipped and fell in the washroom of Tihar Jail. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital in the morning. After his condition deteriorated around 12 noon, he was shifted to LNJP. He is currently kept on oxygen support.

This is the third time Jain has been brought to the hospital in a week. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi itself. Then he had problems with his spine. On May 20 also, he was brought to Deen Dayal Hospital due to the same problem.

4. 2 more cubs of cheetah died in Kuno, 6 cheetahs have died in two months; now 18 left

Two more cubs of female cheetah Jwala died in MP’s Kuno National Park. Earlier on Tuesday, a cub had died. Cheetah Jwala gave birth to four cubs on March 27. Only one of these is left now. In Kuno, 6 cheetahs have died in two months.

Twenty cheetahs were brought to India from Namibia. A female cheetah Jwala had given birth to 4 cubs. First 3 cheetahs and then 3 cheetah cubs died one by one. Now only 18 cheetahs remain in Kuno.
