The Supreme Court will hear today the bail plea of ​​former Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, accused in the money laundering case. Jain’s lawyer Abhishek M Singhvi had demanded an early hearing citing ill health. On this, the vacation bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Sanjay Karol had said on Monday, May 22, that it would hear the petition on Friday.

On May 18, the SC had issued a notice to the ED seeking its reply in the matter. Jain is in custody since May 31, 2022. He appealed in the SC after his bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on 6 April.

Here, on Thursday morning, AAP leader Satyendar Jain slipped and fell in the washroom of Tihar Jail. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital in the morning. After his condition deteriorated around 12 noon, he was shifted to Lok Narayan Jai Prakash Hospital (LNJP) and put on oxygen support.

This was the third time in a week that Jain had been brought to the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi itself. Then he had problems with his spine. On May 20 also, he was brought to Deen Dayal Hospital due to the same problem.

Along with him, a case was also registered against Poonam Jain, Ajit Prasad Jain, Sanil Kumar Jain, Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain.
