According to police, Kushagra SagarA government employee in Chandigarh came to pick up her sister Deepika and her doctor husband Dheeraj Soni from her husband’s house in Vasundhara Sector-10 on Sunday after complaining of dowry harassment.
When Sagar reached to pick up his sister Indu Sagar And after a heated argument, Kushagra along with two sisters and brother-in-law got inside the Audi car. In a hurry, Indu’s in-laws and her husband surrounded the car and ransacked it fiercely with sticks. A video of the car being vandalized also went viral on social media platforms.
Sagar tried to save himself and other family members. He drove the car in which a security guard came under the wheel but luckily he did not suffer any major injuries.
On the complaint of Indu Sagar, the police have registered an FIR against her husband and in-laws at the Indirapuram police station.
According to the FIR, Indu married five years ago (2017) Akshay Kumar, Sector-10 resident of Vasundhara. Akshay is working as a manager in MNC in Noida. The victim’s family had fulfilled all the wishes of the accused’s family during the marriage but Indu was harassed for dowry by her in-laws including husband. When he raised this matter with his family members, they fulfilled the demand of Akshay and his family. But Indu was harassed by her in-laws for new demands. Even her husband has extra marital affairs.
“On 8th January my brother, sister and sister’s husband came to take me back home from my husband’s house. But when we sat inside the car Akshay and his family members surrounded the car. They asked the security guard to get down. Also asked for.” Indu told, “Meanwhile the accused started breaking the glass of the car with sticks and heavy objects. Seeing this, my brother drove the car, in which the car ran over the security guard.” ,
Indirapuram police station SHO Devpal Singh told TOI that based on Indu’s complaint, we registered an FIR against Akshay, his father Ratan Lal, his mother Mukesh Rani, his uncle Ajay Kumar, his aunt Suman Devi, his elder brother Samaksh. Key’s. , his two younger brothers- Sarthak and Andaz under sections 498A (husband or husband’s relative subjecting woman to cruelty), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 427 (mischief causing damage to the sum of fifty rupees) IPC and Related sections of the Dowry Act.
The SHO said, “After the accident, Sagar’s family had taken the security guard to a private hospital for treatment and also paid Rs 50,000 for his treatment.”
On Tuesday, a security guard named Satyam Kumar Jha had also complained against the car owner Dheeraj.
Jha has said in his complaint that he was posted at gate number-4 and while he was doing his duty, a speeding Audi car hit him.
He said, “I sustained injuries in the incident and the residents took him to a private hospital for treatment. Nearby residents are witnesses and have also noted down the car’s number (RJ 45 CE 9533).”
“Based on a complaint received from a security guard, an FIR has been registered against Dheeraj, the car owner, under IPC sections 279 (rash driving) and 338 (endangering life or personal safety of others). Both The investigation into the FIRs is underway,” the SHO said.
