Many candidates suspect that the recruitment process is not being done in a transparent manner as the government canceled the recruitment notification on November 11, 2022. Following this, the Higher Education Department ordered to start the recruitment process based on a note from Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. However, the order is not clear as to which recruitment notification to consider – as the university has released at least six recruitment notifications so far. Besides, the university did not seek approval during the syndicate meeting, the candidates alleged.
“The higher education department has ordered the recruitment process to continue on April 27, but the university authorities have dispatched hall tickets for the recruitment examinations to the candidates before April 25. It is clear that the authorities plan to complete the process without being transparent. Interestingly, the officials have published the eligibility list on the website without mentioning the date for this list. There have been more violations in recruitment examinations. So the Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka should stop the process,” appealed an aspirant.
When an attempt was made to contact the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof TM Bhaskar, he was not available for comment.
