The Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate Programs (CUET-PG) began on Monday with over 4.5 lakh unique registered candidates across the country and a total of over 8.7 lakh candidates.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is conducting the computer-based exam till June 17, has issued admit cards to some candidates till June 8. However, many others have not yet received the admit cards or do not know where their exam center is. Will happen.

This has worried many examinees, especially from far flung areas who have come to Delhi choosing it as their centre.

delay in admit card

The candidates were initially scheduled to receive their city allotment slips on June 1. However, on June 3, a notice on the NTA website stated that those who have not received their admit cards will get them soon.

The agency rescheduled exams for 60 courses including English, Political Science, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce etc. for other shifts and days.

The complete list of courses is available on its official website cuet.nta.nic.in,

Several students in the city have been trying to contact the agency for more clarity, but in vain.

students insisted

Rafia Parveen, 22, from Kolkata still doesn’t know her exam city. “I took a gap year last year. I have my exam on 9th June this year but till now no information has been given. It would not be possible for me to go to the distant center at such a late hour. I am facing anxiety and stress.”

Another candidate, Sheela Sharma said, “I am surprised by the sudden changes. My semester exams and CUET are clashing and I am unable to keep a steady mind.”

23-year-old Subhajit Mukherjee from Jharkhand is yet to receive his city allotment slip from the NTA website. “I have tried to log in several times. The website shows error even after entering the correct captcha code.”

Moramba Moirangthem, a student from Manipur said, “We were given the provision to change our city. I changed mine from Imphal to Delhi. However, it was approved only after visiting the NTA office [in Delhi], There was a long queue of students taking complaints. Many of my friends are still stranded.”

Asad, another candidate from Manipur, said, “I did not get any mail after changing the city. I am worried whether I will be able to clear the exam. I tried to contact NTA but they did not pick up my call.

Three candidates from Meghalaya – Esakani Remalia Pajat, Vanessa Sari, and GK Ganiyamali – said they had no information as neither their admit cards nor city allotment slips have been issued.

An NTA official said, ‘I understand there are some issues, but we are trying our best to look into it [the candidates’] need and fix them. Wherever possible, we are reducing movement. In the case of Pauri, we have sent back 54 girls to Pauri. We have done the same in Leh and Kargil.
