Congress Working Committee (CWC) special invitee Chinta Mohan has criticized the central government for indiscriminately imposing GST on all food products saying it is breaking the back of the common man.

Addressing a dharna at Rajiv Gandhi Circle in Tirupati along with party leaders Puthalapattu Prabhakar, Kalikiri Chiranjeevi and others on Tuesday, he demanded that the Center reduce or remove taxes on certain food products that directly hit the poor.

“The cost of living is so high that the poor man is not able to eat a full meal in a day. The central government does not have the time or patience to listen to the problems of the common man.

Similarly, Dr. Chinta Mohan described BJP, YSR Congress Party and TDP as the same party with anti-poor ideology and wanted people to elect Congress for balanced development.
