Dantewada IED Blast | Four Maoists arrested, three minors in custody

Four Maoists have been arrested and three teenage boys have been detained for their alleged role triggered an IED blast in which 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel were killed and a driver in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district on 26 April, a police officer said on 7 May.

He said the four Maoists have been identified as Budhra Madvi, Jitendra Muchaki, Hidma Madkam and Hidma Madvi – all members of the Malanger Area Committee under the Darbha division of the banned CPI (Maoist).

Madvi, Muchaki and Hidma Madkam were arrested on Friday while Hidma Madvi was arrested on Sunday.

Three juvenile boys, aged between 15 and 17 years, have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in the incident, the official said.

He said that a court sent four Maoists to jail, while the minors were sent to juvenile homes.

Further investigation is underway.
