Defense Minister Rajnath reached the Air Force Heritage Center: Administrator of Chandigarh welcomed; Military officers were present, police everywhere

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has reached the prepared Indian Air Force Heritage Center in Sector-18, Chandigarh. Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit welcomed him. During this, many military officers were also present on the spot.

In a short while, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the Indian Air Force Heritage Center and dedicate it to the common people. From Airport Light Point to Sector-17/18 Light Point, other police forces including traffic police and police station are present everywhere.

The staff of the police control room, including the traffic police, are on high alert to ensure that there is no obstruction in the route of the Defense Minister. Police has diverted/restricted the traffic route from Airport Light Point to Press Light Point-17 and Gurudwara Sahib in Sector-8. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has reached Chandigarh Technical Airport in a special army aircraft. After this, his convoy reached the Indian Air Force Heritage Center built in Sector-18 at Sector-17/18 Press Light Point.

After this, the Defense Minister will visit the shop of the Airforce Family Welfare Association. The Heritage Center will be handed over to the Secretary Culture, Chandigarh by Air Force officials at 12 noon. During this, Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh Banwari Lal Purohit will also be present. Then at 12:20 pm, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will hold a meeting with the officials of the Chandigarh Administration.

Book through mobile app
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will tour the entire center after the inauguration of the Air Force Heritage Centre. But common people will be able to enter here only from Tuesday. However, to come here, booking through mobile app will start from today (Monday). Many VVIPs of the Airforce will also be present along with the Defense Minister.

Traffic route diverted/restricted on these routes
Airport Light Point, Hallomajra Light Point, Poultry Farm Chowk, Tribune Chowk, Iron Market Light Point, New Labor Chowk (Sector-20/21-33/34) and Madhya Marg AP Chowk (Sector- 7/8-18/19) Press Light Point (Sector-8/9-17/18), Matka Chowk (Sector- 9/10-16/17), 17/18 Light Point and Gurdwara Sahib-8 will be diverted/banned. Traffic police appeals to people to use alternative routes to avoid traffic jams due to VVIP visit.

Challan for parking the vehicle on the cycle track
Invited guests/officers attending the inauguration ceremony of Air Force Heritage Center have been appealed to park their vehicles in the designated parking lot. The traffic police has clarified that challan action will be taken if vehicles are parked on the cycle track.

Airforce Heritage Center Rules
1. In a day, 75 people will be able to experience flying a fighter on the simulator, the fee is Rs 295.
2. Will be able to come from 10 am to 6 pm.
3. A total of three slots for visiting the Air Force Heritage Center, 25 people will be able to come in each slot.
4. The timing of all the three slots will be 10 AM, 12 Noon and 3 PM.
5. There is a fee of Rs 50 for people above 18 years of age who come only to visit the center without having the experience of the simulator.
6. Entry is kept free for people below the age of 18 years.
7. Booking for visiting the center and simulators can be done through the mobile app of the tourism department.
