Delhi Metro services to be partially curtailed on Yellow Line on February 19

In another update, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) informed that Gate no. The Central Secretariat Metro station on the Violet Line will remain closed from February 19 for renovation work.

Delhi Metro operations between Kashmere Gate and Vishwavidyalaya stations on the Yellow Line will be partially suspended for a few hours on Sunday, officials said on Saturday.

In another update, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) informed that Gate no. The Central Secretariat Metro station on the Violet Line will remain closed from February 19 for renovation work.

“To carry out scheduled track maintenance work between Kashmere Gate and University section of Yellow Line (i.e. HUDA City Center to Samaypur Badli), train services will not be available at two stations Civil Lines and Vidhansabha falling in this section till 06.30 hrs. a.m. from the commencement of revenue services on 19.02.2023,” DMRC said in a statement.

Civil Lines and Vidhansabha metro stations will remain closed till 6.30 am from the commencement of revenue services.

Connectivity will be provided through free feeder bus service between Kashmere Gate Metro Station and Vishwavidyalaya Metro Stations during this period.

Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly, officials said.

DMRC further updated that entry and exit from gate no. Number 5 at Central Secretariat Metro Station will remain closed from February 19 for civil renovation work.

Passengers can use gate number 1 and 2 for entry/exit.

The station is located in the heart of the national capital and is an interchange facility between the Yellow Line and the Violet Line. Its gate no. 1 was temporarily closed from 10 February for maintenance work.
