A cat rescued from the rubble after the devastating earthquake in Turkey has now found a home. The rescuer has decided to adopt the cat after she refused to give up on the person who saved her. The heartwarming story has left many netizens in awe as people struggle to find hope after the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquake on February 6, which killed over 40,000 people till February 18.

Ali Kakas, a rescue team member, found the cat trapped under the rubble and the cat, presumably grateful for the rescue, clung to its rescuer. According to a Twitter post by Anton Gerashchenko, former deputy minister of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kakas named the cat Enkaz which means “debris” in Turkish.

In a picture shared by Gerashchenko, the black and white cat was seen lurking beside Kakas as he lay on the bed.

The image quickly went viral, and soon the world was swept up in the story of the heroic rescue and the unbreakable bond between a rescuer and his furry friend.

Encaz’s story of survival and love spread across social media, inspiring millions of people around the world. This heartwarming story reminds us that amidst the rubble and devastation, there is always hope, love and the promise of a better tomorrow.
