All types of samples are tested at Nerchowk Medical College.

In Himachal’s Mandi, medical samples related to diseases of the people are now being transported through drones for examination. These samples from different hilly areas of the district are being sent to the medical college by drone. Due to this, where the health department does not have to spend on vehicles, a lot of time is also being saved.

CMO Mandi Dr. Devendra Sharma said that in the first phase, samples are being sent by drone from Jogindernagar, Sarkaghat and Mandi Civil Hospital to Nerchowk Medical College in Mandi district. This is a very cheap transport system, through which essential medicines, samples can be sent and received in remote areas sitting at one place. In cases of medical emergency, time is of the essence.
