Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, the actress shared how motherhood changed her. “Avyan has taught me focus, joy and resilience and just one smile from him can take away all my worries. I now feel even more responsible as a professional as I am giving a voice and a message to him through my work.” I want to make a better world.

Dia Mirza tied the knot with Mumbai-based businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in February 2021 during an intimate ceremony in Mumbai. In May the same year, the couple became parents to Ayaan. The actress wrote, “Our life, our miracle, 1 year ago today you were born, in which the song ‘Imagine’ was playing. You were 3 months premature at 820 grams. 36 hours after birth we Turned out you had necrotizing enterocolitis and had to undergo life saving surgery. You were cared for and nourished for 90 days in the NICU with a stoma and finally we were sent home with a stoma,” she wrote.

He told how he had to undergo another surgery. “After you gained strength and weight you went back to the hospital for a second surgery which lasted four and a half hours. The doctors prepared us for the worst and said it would take at least 21 days for you to be back home with us Instead of 21 days, Ayaan came home in just nine days, Diya said.

On the professional front, Dia Mirza has been busy shooting for Tarun Dudeja’s Dhak Dhak where she would be seen alongside Taapsee Pannu, Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi.
